For example, if a patient needs to be washed, the nurse can simply scan the barcode for the patient, and then the barcode representing the activity “wash patient.” This information would then be saved with the date, time and ID number of the smartSCANNDY used and easily transmitted to the software for billing the service, then finally confirmed by both the patient and authorities. With the new PANMOBIL USB stick functionality in the SCANNDY family, transmitting data is now even easier. By plugging in the smartSCANNDY to a USB-port on a computer or other device, the scanned data can be directly processed into Microsoft Excel, Word and other programs. The data file is available for enterprise systems in the same way as any file on a hard disk or external storage device. The USB stick function - the easiest way to transmit data - makes work more fail-safe and easy which is a great help to the users.
