Whenever the smartSCANNDY is connected to a POS computer over wires or through Bluetooth, it will automatically go into Presentation Mode and also fall into an electricity and laser-engine conservation mode so it will only activate once every second. When the smartSCANNDY is presented with a product code, it will return immediately to its active Scanning Mode. Besides this though, thanks to the Mode-switching barcodes far away at the edge of the table, the smartSCANNDY may continue its Sleeping Beauty's sleep.

For example, if the SCANNDY is disconnected from the cable that was connecting it to the computer, it can also serve as batch-scanner (data collector) for mobile tasks. After the smartSCANNDY has finished collecting the data, it will then reconnect with the computer. Thanks to its comfortable easy-smart-control technology, the data will then automatically be adjusted. If the smartSCANNDY is equipped with a Bluetooth module, transmission of data between the mobile data capturing would be extremely efficient, depending on the Bluetooth class in the perimeter of 10 to 30 meters online with the connected computer to be able to adjust the data.
