How dangerous is the SCANNDY laser engine?

SCANNDY is equipped with a laser unit calss1, which saves energy and the light intensity is very weak. Because of a very sensitive receiving diode and the high performance decoding algorithm of SCANNDY, the reading result is perfect. The laser light is not dangerous but you should never direct look in it.

Is SCANNDY able to read all barcode versions?

Yes, SCANNDY can decode all popular barcodes.

Which barcode technology should I use 1D or 2D?

2D does give you the possibility to store higher data volumes, but a more expensive camera module is needed. 1D is the most used barcode worldwide, please have a look at our Know-How page.

Distance between SCANNDY and barcode is pending on the barcode resolution. Please have a look at the datasheet.

Will SCANNDY be extendable with GPRS?

No problem, just change the TECPACK as easy as changing battery. The PANMOBIL technology allows the frequent change from one technology to another.
