AutoID for Everybody!
With the new smart Universal Configurator - a graphic configuration – tool you will be able to configure smartSCANNDY easily at your convenience. Due to the simple usage the configuration is easy to handle by everybody even with no programming - acknowledge. With a few mouse – clicks you can create your helpful settings. For example the functionality of the keys at of the smartSCANNDY could be reprogrammed. Also time and date settings, data – emission formates or displaying of RFID data inputs can be chosen. The characteristics of smartSCANNDYwill be changed to your application without creating a new Firmware.
Save double – once „time“ as you speed up the integration and on the other hand „money“ as you will not be charged for any additional application.

- No extern Software - development is needed
- No training for employees is requiered
- Once created configuration can be copied to adduitional devices

- Adjustements can be tested at once
- Changings could be done imediately
- To learn a programming – language is not requiered
- Once made configuration can be assumed to any number of smartSCANNDYs by copying the configuration – data file.

Installation
Turn on your smartSCANNDY and connect it to your PC, an icon „Smart Universal Configurator“ will pop up on the desktop. Just double – click and start the configuration of your smartSCANNDY
Functionality
The configuration – parameter are described in their different areas. After changing of the configuration it needs to be restored and the scanner needs to be ejected under Windows before ejecting the USB plug. This will automatically be done by usng the button “Save and eject”. In the following an overview about the different condiguration areas:
• Keys - configuration of keys and key - combinations
Each individual key can be programmed for your individual needs by selecting the wished function (RFID or Barcode) in the dropdown-Menu.
• Data - configuration of output mode (Mass - storage/Bluetooth)
Here you configure if you like to transfer data as text – file (for example) per USB, USB – HID or by Bluetooth. You can choose up to 3 output – modi, selecting under „Keys“ at keyboard – layout.
• Data Format – Configuration of data – format for the output - data
Fast adjustment of data for port – transfer possible.
• Static HID - configuration for a keyboard – layout which can be transfered via Bluetooth - HID
Ideal for connection at SAP Systems (for example). You describe at this configuration point your preferred keyboard – combination. Inside the keyboard – layout under menu „Keys“ you will choose the preferred key and select “Send static data, see [Static Data(HID)]“ . Now all data will be used as the keyboard layout has been configured.

Under this setting you can adjust how you would like to output for example your RFID data either in ASCII or hexadecimal.
Signal -Configuration of smartSCANNDY signals
Here you can make a setting if you would like to hear a piep – tone and/or feel a vibration in a case of an error or even nothing will happen. The same is possible for the correct scanning or deleting data from device.

If you like to run several smartSCANNDYs and all devices shall need the same setting you only need to configur it once. Go to „Service“ and press the button “open smart ini.config file.“, copy this file and copy it into the respectivly program – structure of the other scanner.
