Along with the work order, a barcode that is for that day's work bill in relation to the project number will be printed (such as the list of worker's). At the work site, just with the pressing of a single button to read the barcode, the mobile barcode scanner SCANNDY will know at which work site it will be handling. Then quite simply, those workers who are at the work site will be selected and captured by the SCANNDY through the list of the workers' barcodes. The SCANNDY will then match the workers at the work site. As an alternative to a list of workers, a barcode card can be printed for every worker. Work logging can thus be completely comfortable with just the press of a button or per the Start/Stop function. Optionally, the hours can also be matched with the daily tasks and set against the supervisors and workers.

Time-recording and data transfers locally or world-wide
Following the time-recording, the data would ultimately be transferred to the office. This occurs over a USB connection or through the cradle/docking station of the SCANNDY when the workers return to the headquarters.   Should the devices be left in the vehicles, the information from the SCANNDY will be sent through WLAN as soon as it receives a signal from the premises. Alternatively the data can also be sent per GPRS, which is the fastest way if the worker is to continue working at the same construction site for more days. This method guarantees that the office workers and the supervisors always obtain the actual data information on the worker, the daily tasks and the work site. A soon as the hours have been transferred, the information can be used for checking post calculations.
