First barcode scanner with emailing abilities
PANMOBIL developed the first mobile barcode scanner, which is able to transmit the captured data from product labels or from inventory via WiFi automatically without any user interference via email to any arbitrary address. Until today the barcode scanner were only able to send emails with different software or using a computer.
Where to transmit the data to?
Buying barcode scanner is not the problem, you can find them all over the internet. The main problem is actually when you want to work with them: For example how can you get the scanned data out of the scanner to the merchandize managing system or the co-worker who needs to evaluate them? Additional to the scanner you most likely need to buy software with which the data are transferred from the scanner to a computer. And if that wouldn’t be enough the suitable interface needs to be programmed so that the scanner is able to send the data at all.
Data dispatch to any place on earth
To put an end to this big investment pain the AutoID developer from Cologne created PANMOBIL barcode and RFID scanner, which are able to send the scanned data independently without any big user interference or any connected computer. Users just need to connect the scanner with an available WiFi network and the internet and the data will be send immediately to where they are supposed to be transmitted to. The software which is responsible for this is called EMMware with SCOUTtechnology. Next to the email dispatch through the integrated mail software the data can be transmitted automatically via FTP to an arbitrary server or to a web shop. User just need to connect the scanner to a computer via USB before using it the first time, then start the configurator software on the device and choose via which transmission path and to which address the data need to be send to and you are all set.
Convince yourself about the simplicity of the EMMware in the following video:
