Unbeatable Sales Team: Wi-Fi and RFID
To have an exact overview at all times which clothing are available in the store and not only make customers happy with free Wi-Fi, but also individually consult them the fashion store Marc O´Polo works with a very modern and mobile sales strategy. To perform the best customer service they decided for symbioses between RFID and Wi-Fi Technology.
Extensive wireless network in selected stores
You come to the store and you will be greeted and asked what you are looking for. The employee can exactly tell you where to find the desired item without leaving his spot. He shows you on the tablet how it looks like and combines it with other accessories and how you would look like in the new jacket. While you are waiting for the employee to get you the items you are able to use the Wi-Fi free of charge and look for sales and other deals or just check a few emails. That is how Marc O´Polo imagines its modern sales concept.
This concept is possible because of RFID-Tags in the clothing. These are captured by RFID- Reading-Devices at the exits and cashiers and are also able to be captured by mobile Scanner-Devices. Therefore the employees at all times know where the clothing is exactly located. It saves a lot of time searching for the cloth and for the inventory. The goal is to invest this recovered time for customer service.
Additionally to the RFID wireless network Marc O'Polo installed an intern and customer Wi-Fi network in the selected stores. Approximately 13 Access points take care of enough wireless coverage in the store. Customers just need to put a checkmark on the Login page and agree to the terms and conditions and start surfing. But not only the customers are supposed to be able to use the wireless connection it also should help the employees to consult the customers with their tablets and to order article online.
This concept is the store philosophy of Marc O'Polo since 2014 and they definitely will expand this idea.
